When you decide to put on a Stage Show, you are making a commitment to constant work and rehearsals until the performance is perfect. Hours of practice goes into learning lines, dance steps and routines and sometimes both. The importance of a successful show is uppermost in everyone's mind. From the performers themselves, right through to the behind the scenes staff, everyone is hoping for a night to remember.
Whether it's a Stage show, Pantomime or a Display of Dancing or Ballet, we know exactly how much time and effort is attached to the organising of a "Live Stage Production" but sadly, when it's over it can quickly become just a faint memory.
Why not relive the atmosphere of the performance and enjoy the entertainment time and time again, or even just monitor the yearly progress of your students, and all in the comfort of your own home.
We regularly record shows for many of the top dance schools and theatre groups around. From Modern Dance & Ballet to Stage Plays & Pantomime
In most cases, your event would be filmed with "Two Cameras", both of which would be mounted on tripod stands and strategically placed in two different positions in the theatre/hall. For example, one camera at the front and to one side, and the other camera in the centre some way back.
This allows for "live" cutting between both cameras keeps everything moving so as not to lose the viewers attention, eliminates the possibility of any blind spots on the stage (ensuring nobody is accidentally missed out ) and gives the final video tape/DVD greater overall continuity.
If you would like to discuss a forthcoming event with us or if you wish further information regarding Sound & Lighting etc for your production, we will be happy to help
Alternatively if you wish to book your performance with us, please contact us ASAP with
confirmation of your dates.
NB: As we are consistently getting busier each year, we would advise that you don't leave it too late to book your show.
So How Does It Work?
It's really quite simple, we come along and film the performance - NO CHARGE.
If you wish a copy you fill in a booking form which we can supply to you before the event or on the night of the performance. If your organisation (i.e. Dance School / Theatre Group) wish to supply these that is ok.
Once we have finished filming, the footage is brought back to the studio and fully edited to give it that professional feel, and then we make a "Digital Master". The copies are then produced and sold back to you on either VHS tape or DVD.
How Much Are The Copies - How Do We Pay?
Copies on VHS Tape = £16.00 EACH | Copies on DVD = £20.00 EACH
All payment is made by cash or cheque and must be paid via the organisation that put on the performance, ( i.e. Dance School / Theatre Group ). This is the simplest way of working and means that we only have to deal with the one person.
For us to film, edit and produce the performance free of charge we require a minimum of 35 copies per show to be ordered. This is normally an easily achievable target and in many cases it is vastly exceeded. It is not feasible on lesser amounts.
In effect, it means that when the tapes and discs are ready, we contact the organisation to find out how many orders they have, we add that amount to the booking forms we may have collected on the night of the performance and produce the total number required. It is then a simple matter of delivering them and collecting payment for them at the same time. It's all nice neat and tidy.
We have found from past experience that dealing with everyone individually and posting tapes and discs out to everyone separately doesn't work. It is far too time consuming and is not cost effective. Working the way we described above is tried and tested. It works well for all concerned and for this reason, it is our chosen method.
NB: If you wish to pay by cheque, please make it payable to either Graeme Foord or
Viewpoint Video Productions.
